"Home Study Black Belt Course"

USA Self-Defense Centers Distance Learning Program is structured after the State University of New York's Empire State College division distance Learning Degree Program. This program permits you to earn your Bachelors or Masters Degree from an accredited University without attending class.

Our program will permit you to earn a Certified Black Belt from an accredited program. Credits can be transferred from other recognized styles of the Martial Arts to accelerate your Black Belt Program. A resume must be submitted with your application for evaluation of transfer credits.

If you already have your First Degree Black Belt (Shodan) you may register your Black Belt with us and enroll in our 2nd Degree (Nidan) program which will also earn your Teaching Certificate and enable you to promote students to Black Belt. Most Black Belts do not realize that they can not promote someone to their own level, only to one level below them.

Our Certified Program consists of Video Training, and Video and Written Testing. The program is geared to be positive in nature and intended to enable everyone to be successful and complete it. Our motto is "A Black Belt is a White Belt who Never Quit".

About Us
Our Distance Learning Program is identical to our campus program. If you are looking for a shortcut to earn a Black Belt our program is NOT for you. We are a legitimate, respected Martial Arts School whose students participate in Judo, Karate, and Jiu-Jitsu tournaments. We teach Rape Defense Seminars for local hospitals, YWCA's, and we teach in all the local school districts. Our Black Belts are qualified to teach any group including, children, teens, and adults. Your credentials are certified and authentic. Any police or government agency can contact us to verify your credentials. Dr. Ernest G. McPeek, JD, the President of USA Self-Defense Centers, Inc., is a graduate of the State University of New York Law School and has over 30 years experience teaching the Martial Arts. He is a 9th Degree Black Belt in Jiu-Jistu, a 9th Degree Black Belt in Kenpo Karate, a 6th Degree Black Belt in Judo, and a 4th Degree Black Belt in Isshinryu Karate. He has produced hundreds of Black Belts throughout the world.

The Distance Learning Program
Our current program includes 5 video tapes consisting of all the material required to earn your Black Belt. The first four tapes include Yellow Belt through 1st Black Belt Technique Requirements. The 5th tape includes Katas (Empty hand and weapons), and drills. Our program also includes a Student Handbook that outlines the curriculum requirements, a Student Manual that breaks down and explains every technique for easy reference, and the Official Black Belt Training Manual that enables you to log in your training day by day.
